On the afternoon of June 3rd, School of International Cultural Exchange held a tea party for teachers and international students in Room 702 at Student Center. The leaders of the School, management cadres, student representatives and graduates of 2019 participated in the tea party.
At the tea party, the teachers prepared Lanzhou delicacies, fruits and a big cake decorated with the Chinese names of graduates. The teachers and students welcomed the Dragon Boat Festival together happily. Graduates shared their experiences of studying in Lanzhou University, and expressed their gratitude to the school and teachers. LOBAR MIRZAEVA, from Uzbekistan, said, “when I first came to Lanzhou University, I just had my 18 year- old birthday, like a little bird out of its nest for a while. I was in panic and hesitation, then, I came to a good school and met a group of kind teachers. In the past four year, not only have my teachers taught us knowledge, but also cared about our daily life.My sincere gratitude goes to the teachers and all the students. Wish we all have a bright future.” SUIINDIK ORALBAY, from Kazakhstan, said, “Studying in China has given me a good opportunity. For all the international students, we should cherish our time here, speak more and practice more to develop our interests in learning Chinese.” RAZIYA TURSYNBEK, from Kazakhstan, said: “I have never seen a teacher as good as ours. In the school, teachers love us like parents. Thank you, my school.” JULIEN SIMARD, from Canada, said, “I thought it was just a meeting, but it turned out to be an amazing tea party, there were many delicious food and fruits. I regretted that the time I applied for studying here was too short.” At the same time, students also put forward some suggestions for our School to improve the quality of international education.
On behalf of the college, the Dean, Zhang Wengang, congratulated the graduates on their achievements and hoped that they could make greater progress.
Time was too short to express our hardest feelings.Through discussions and exchanges, teachers and students had further deepened their friendship.
