Gansu is known for its abundant bamboo slips. Since 1907, over 60,000 have been found, with Han bamboo slips being the most common, constituting over 80% of all Han bamboo slips discovered in China. It's often referred to as the "Han Bamboo Slips Hometown." The museum offers insight into traditional Chinese culture, making bamboo slip documents from research institutes accessible to the public.

Hendrik Errenst from Germany said, "Visiting a museum is a great way to gain a good understanding of Chinese culture. We saw many ancient bamboo slips and calligraphy works, which is very impressive. Capturing and passing down information to future generations was very challenging in ancient times."
